NYHDG Structure
NYHDG is made up of representatives from the local hockey community who mainly come from the major hockey clubs and schools in the North Yorkshire region. They give their time freely and are dedicated to promoting and developing hockey in schools and clubs throughout North Yorkshire.
NYHDG is run by an Executive Committee comprising those officers who may be found by clicking on the “NYHDG Structure” spreadsheet at the bottom of this article. Each officer’s area of responsibility is outlined in the structure chart.
Single System, JDCs and JACs
NYHDG is responsible for delivery of the JDC and JAC programmes, part of England Hockey Board’s Single System, in North Yorkshire. NYHDG will appoint coaches and managers/administrators to organise and run all activity. The manager/administrator will be the main contact regarding nominations, dates and times of the sessions and the coaches will be responsible for the training and competition.
Details of the dates, times and venues for this season’s JDC and JAC activities can be found under 'events'
Those players who represent North Yorkshire JAC are eligible to be selected for the next stage of player development at the Junior Regional Performance Centres (JRPC), based at Leeds University. From here the National Age Group Squads (NAGS) are selected at U16 and U18 age groups.
More information about the player pathway can be found on the England Hockey website...
